Its been a while since I dont post, but work is so intense, fulfilling but intense so I dont have a lot of time... I am so exited for V, I cant wait to see it, I hope people like it so we can have a lot of seasons... So I guess my trip after this year of dreams is going to be to Vancouver, insted of Hawaii... OK!!! Its been a while since I dont post, but work has been crazy!!! I have this extra hours, so by the time I get home I just want to sleep...

I can believe what happened in LOST... I am so mad I cant even want to talk about it... So here are a couple of things to update...

Finaly the V pictures are Up, and she looks super nice... I like her short hair and the fact that she is a mother... I hope this series airs soon, and while I am still here in US so I can watch it...

I will try to post them because here I dont have acces to the ones I download in my computer... there is also a couple of sneak peeks that hopefully I will post at night...

Also, this week alternative apparel will lunch the campaign with mrs. mitchell so I have somehting to expect this week...

Bainbridge improv guy will put you on the spot

In the world of improvisation, practice helps. But it doesn’t make perfect.

“I kind of get back to that playground mentality,” Chris Soldevilla said.

The tenets “there’s no right or wrong,” “it’s fun,” and “be comfortable” sit at the core of Soldevilla’s performance and instruction strategy. And it’s one that islanders can get the chance to experience for themselves when he offers an adult improv class at Bainbridge Performing Arts starting in early April.

Soldevilla, who moved to the island several years ago with his wife, actor Elizabeth Mitchell, got hooked on improv during his first year at Boston University. Someone from his dorm dragged him to an audition.

He’d done theater throughout high school but assumed he’d be awful at improv, a form of comedy in which actors work off spontaneous suggestions to create skits, riffs, songs and scenes that are meaningful and hopefully, hysterical.

Instead, he found a form that fit, in which the endless stories and skits he’d done for himself as an only child proved all the preparation he really needed.

He’s aware, though, that improv is intimidating for beginners. Do you have to have read tons of books? Know volumes of songs? Understand molecular biology and be completely immersed in pop culture so that you’re ready to take any cue an audience throws at you?

Not really. And the first thing Soldevilla stresses to students, whether they’re teens or adults, is that “willingness to fail, and fail miserably” is not just a key hurdle, it’s part of the fun.

For that reason, beginning improv is his favorite class to teach. He knows that the courage to walk through the door is the hardest part, and by the time his classes end in a friends-and-family performance, he has invariably seen the shyest newbies blossom into confident performers.

“To watch people do something they didn’t think they could do and overcome it, is fantastic,” he said.

After college, Soldevilla hit L.A., continuing to perform and teach improv as he picked up television and film roles. At a certain point, when he and Mitchell decided they wanted a family – and right around the time Mitchell nabbed her role as Juliet Burke on ABC’s “Lost”– they got wind of Bainbridge and began dividing their time between here and Hawaii, where the show is shot.

The existence of the EDGE, a BPA institution, was happenstance. And when Soldevilla first sat in, he admits that he didn’t expect much.

“I’m horrible at watching improv,” he said. “If it’s bad, you want to save it. If it’s good, you want to be up there.”

But the level of skill and the group dynamic compelled Soldevilla to stick around for month after month of performances for sometimes intimidatingly intelligent Bainbridge audiences.

He’s also gotten sucked into the broader BPA community; this summer, he’ll star as R.P. McMurphy in “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.”

Often, he said, he’s the one using his teaching skills to help Mitchell make sense of her cryptic “Lost” scripts. With this show, it’ll be her turn to help him prep.

And who knows, maybe he’ll get to enjoy a little spotlight.

Although one day not too long ago, he and his family were on a Bainbridge street when a stranger approached.

He stepped back, as he’s used to doing when people stop to offer up fan love for Mitchell.

“Oh my God!” the fan said. “You’re that guy from improv!”

ABC greenlights “V” pilot

When I was a kid, one of my favorite miniseries was “V,” the story about an alien invasion of Earth. I remember thinking that it was the coolest thing I had seen since “Star Wars.” I watched it again a few years ago and thought it was brutal. Ah, the innocence of childhood!

Anyhoo, according to Variety, ABC has given the go-ahead to a pilot that will re-imagine the ’80s miniseries.

New adaptation of the franchise was written by “The 4400″ co-creator/exec producer Scott Peters. Peters is aboard to exec produce along with HDFilms principal Jason Hall. Warner Bros. TV, which was behind the original longform, is producing.

The new “V” centers on Erica Evans, a Homeland Security agent with an aimless son. When the aliens arrive, her son gloms on to them — causing tension within the family.

Like the original, show centers on visitors who say they’ve come to help the Earth — but their motives are nefarious.

“Battlestar Galactica” has set the bar for re-imagined series and I have a feeling that the new version of “V” will be a disappointment. I could never get into “The 4400″ — and I love sci-fi — so Scott Peters’ involvement doesn’t fill me with warm, fuzzy feelings. Also, ABC has already bailed on a good alien invasion story — “Invasion” — that had a great cast, so I don’t have confidence that the network knows how to make this kind of story work.

But then again, they gave us “Lost,” so you never know.+

I sure hope this doesn't mean what I think it does: Lost heroine Elizabeth Mitchell has been cast in ABC's eagerly anticipated V pilot.

Are you thinking what I'm thinking -- that this confirms Juliet as the major character who gets bumped off at this season's end? Yeah, I kinda thought you might be with me on that one.

However, my moles at ABC and Warner Bros. (which is producing V) say we need to chill, because Mitchell is just a guest star on V. But, however much I may want to chill, that's pretty hard to do since everyone told me the same thing when tailie Cynthia Watros booked a pilot (and two months later, Libby was pushing up daisies).

So what do you think? Am I making much ado about nothing? Or is Juliet a goner? And in either case, how much cooler a project is V now that Mitchell's attached? I'm thinking "way." Your take below...

I just finish watching this episode of Lost... not much of Juliet, but the parts she appear very good... specially the part where to my point of view, Juliet made suffer Kate a little, as a way to say: "Back Off... he is Mine..." when she didn't put her name on the list... Kate's face was the best, she thought she was going to get caught, but then Juliet with her smile appears and saves the day... as a warning that they are in charge now... the same actitude that James had towards Jack...

I have the filling that the reason that Kate came back to the island is for James, now that she realized that Jack is not a stable person... I hope Juliet shows her who is the boss and that James heart belongs now to Juliet...

The thing that is not clear to me if they are married, because on this picture you can see a wedding ring... I am worried also about her having babies, because in the TV Guide and in Latest from Kristin:

The love polygon lives. Sawyer and Juliet appear to be settled down, domestic and altogether fuzzy-wuzzy, but they have some struggles ahead. And don't forget, as Sawyer announced in season one, "It's about bunnies," and the newly released Geronimo Jackson album cover agrees with him. And you know what bunnies like to do, right? they talk about this... I also been have a feeling that she is somehow going to die... I hope I am wrong...

TVGuide.com: We're sneaking this Q&A in just before the producers lower a "cone of silence" onto the cast members, at least until you have filmed the season finale. Pretty crazy, huh?
Elizabeth Mitchell: Yeah, pretty much! Once again, it's one of those highly secret, highly crazy, "You think it's one thing but it's another thing" kind of endings. There are still about six pages missing [from the finale script] that only the people involved in it have.

TVGuide.com: I'm worried now, that you don't have those six pages.
Mitchell: [Laughs] I didn't have the six pages last time, or the time before that. I was like, "Tell me, tell me! No, don't tell me."

TVGuide.com: It seems like these next nine episodes will be a lot to digest.
Mitchell: They will. "LaFleur" was one of those little "eyes of the storm." You've been storming, you've been storming, you get to the middle and you're like, "Oh, it's not so bad. It's kind of nice here! I'll wait around here and take a deep breath." And then you start right in. It should be pretty exciting.

TVGuide.com: What went through your mind as you learned of the Juliet-Sawyer love story?
Mitchell: There's my initial feelings, my middle feelings, and then my feelings now. At first, Josh [Holloway] and I were like, "Nuh-uh! That's never going to work!"

TVGuide.com: But surely you had an inkling they'd go that way, after the storylines got split.
Mitchell: I think I even said, "I don't think that sounds like a very good idea at all." But then as the season went along, I realized there were these little asides and glances... Both Josh and I were like, "We don't know about this." But luckily — and I mean this very, very sincerely — it became something I'm very happy with. Josh turned to me the other day and said, "Hey, that's pretty good huh?" I said, "Yeah, it kinda works!"

TVGuide.com: But even if you did see this hook-up coming, one could never have predicted the weight given to it via time-travel.
Mitchell: Josh and I were sitting in a canoe, doing a scene, and I said, "You know, they're not going to have us have mad, passionate love up against a tree. They're probably going to, like, have us already have been married for three years." He was like, "No, they're not going to do that. That's just ridiculous." So when he got the ["LaFleur"] script, he was like, "That's creepy!"

TVGuide.com: Do you feel cheated or honored to get clean-shaven Sawyer?
Mitchell: Oh, very honored - but I kinda get both, because we're always flashing [through time]. He's kind of ridiculously good-looking regardless of what he does, so I try not to concentrate on that too much.

TVGuide.com: Has it been in the back of Juliet's head that Kate could return to the island someday?
Mitchell: Yeah, I do think it's been there. But I also think that at some point in time, because three years is so long, she actually came to believe that maybe this might work. Maybe that came to her just in the last two months before [Kate, Jack et al] showed up, but for the first time in her life there was a grain of hope. So I think that it's very sad for her.

TVGuide.com: Does any insecurity register on Juliet when she first learns Kate is back?
Mitchell: I think so. Juliet is torn in a lot of different directions. She's torn that Kate is there, I think she's torn over how Sawyer is going to respond to it.... It's very telling that he doesn't saying anything at first about Kate being there. Juliet's just busy reading him, but of course there must be massive worry about [Kate's return].

TVGuide.com: Juliet, in turn, must have her own reaction to seeing Jack again.
Mitchell: She does. She does have a reaction. It will be very interesting to see how people feel about their moments together.

TVGuide.com: What are Juliet's priorities now?
Mitchell: Juliet has a couple of priorities, one of which of course is being in love, and that's figuring quite heavily in the writers' minds. And there's always the thing of, "How do I get my life back? How do I keep my sister and her child safe?" They are in this eye of the storm, this little hiatus, and that's new for her. Good lord, she's working in the motor pool, so she's not even trying to save lives! For the first time in her life, she's quite peaceful and living. Now it's becoming a matter of survival again.

TVGuide.com: When I spoke to Reiko Aylesworth (Amy), she seemed to hint that the Purge is imminent, though it would seem to be a few years away. Is that anything the characters talk about?
Mitchell: We mention it a couple times, but isn't it still a little bit down the road? Ben was so much older. He's only 11 now, and when the Purge happened and he killed his father, he was like 17.

TVGuide.com: And 11-year-old Ben is lurking around somewhere...
Mitchell: Of course he's there. He has to be. So it will be very interesting to see how that goes.

TVGuide.com: Speaking Latin must have been one of the hardest things you've had to do for the show.
Mitchell: But you know what, I liked it. Part of me is kind of a brainiac so I thought it'd be cool if I spoke Latin anyway. There's that joy where you're talking to someone and all of a sudden you break off [into an unexpected language]. So yeah, it was difficult, but I thought it was pretty awesome!

Its almost a year since I send my first letter to Ms Mitchell, and since then, I have sent her other letters, and still no response!!! I have to theories:
a. She hasnt receive the letters because mexican mail is not that good
b. She is very busy.
c. The reason that my mom tells me is because she hates me for writing about her and sees me as a stalker...If this is the case, and Ms Mitchell you are reading this Im just a super mega fan...

In a couple of weeks, I am living to Orlando to work in Disney, so I am going to continue sending her letters, and going to try with a foto to get a autograph, also sending her the unofficial official id card or the club, and a personal letter... and stamps for her to send it back... Hopefully I will succeed...and If not maybe is meant to be... and will stop, because I don't want her to fill like I am stalking her and give my mom the reason... lol

I still don't lose hope, of receiving mail and maybe meeting her...

Did you have any actors you particularly liked working with?

I liked working with Terry O’Quinn. I liked the chemistry our characters had. He’s my favorite character on the show. He’s also fun to hang out with on set. I love working with Josh Holloway, he and I have a very similar sense of humor. He’s just funny. Elizabeth Mitchell, the chemistry between our characters was fun. I loved being in scenes with Juliet. She was like a big sister. She’s full of love. Being around her had this effect, where I’d want to curl up in a ball and have her pet your head. She’s one of the most wonderful women I’ve ever met.

Lost’s seductive doctor diagnoses her character’s blood lust, blossoming affair with Sawyer—and her singing duel with Ben.

Your storyline is ramping up—you had a nosebleed caused by all of the flashbacks and flash-forwards. The island is hopping through time and messing you all up.

Yeah, how cool was that? I was watching it with a girlfriend of mine, and my nose started to bleed [on screen] and she leaned over, hit me and said “No! No, you can’t die!” I said, “Don’t worry, she just said had a nosebleed.” She said, “Yeah that means she’s gonna die!” [Laughs] What can you say, Juliet’s sick...

“You know the best thing would be if Juliet forgets all these guys and just ends up with Ben.”

It’s been implied that the character of Charlotte, who is also suffering from side effects, was born on the island. Could Juliet have been on the island before Richard Alpert recruited her?

I have no idea, that’s an awesome thought I haven’t heard before. Juliet was on the island for three years before the plane crash, so it may just be that, or it may be that she was actually from there. We don’t actually know anything about her parents.

Will the show delve deeper into her backstory this season?

I think they like to keep her fairly mysterious, that way she can be cool and conniving, and yet warm and patient.

How much scheming and anger is going on under the surface?

Everything [on the island] has gone horribly wrong and the only way to handle it is just to stay calm and figure out what to do next. She is very much subdued but still insanely angry and hurt and broken. I think Juliet has always believed in passionless, blood full violence. [This season] she is at the center of some violence, which is nice. We get to see the stuff that’s underneath her this season, bubbling away, and it’s not particularly pretty or easy to watch. For some people that will be a nice payoff, but others might want her to stay cool.

Juliet’s been able to calm down Sawyer, who rarely listens to anyone.

I’ve always enjoyed Juliet and Jack, because that’s where we started, but I was watching episode three and thought Juliet and Sawyer actually were listening to each other. I was telling him to calm down and stop yelling, because I knew his approach wasn’t going to work. But what came across was that [Juliet] was talking to a ten year old, which made me laugh, because that’s also how I talk to Jack when he’s being irrational.

Is there a future for Juliet and Sawyer?

I think since they’re both broken-hearted it’s possible it could go somewhere. There’s an expression, “What doesn’t bring people together is joy, but shared pain.” That’s what bonds people together. I definitely believe they will create some sort of partnership and we’ll see where it goes from there.

Are any upcoming episodes particularly Juliet-centric?

I think episode 8 (LeFleur) is particularly heavy for me, and there will be some twists and turns that make you go, “Oh, good lord!”

Are you feeling nostalgic with just over 30 episodes to air before the end?

I’m trying to treasure it, if that makes any sense. I know that I’ll never meet a group of people like this again.

Would you follow [creators] Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof to other projects?

I absolutely would follow them in a heartbeat. I’ve read some scripts that Damon wrote that have absolutely blown me away. His insight and the way he crafts relationships—the quips, the cleverness they come up with—is all written in there.

Will Juliet find closure on the island or elsewhere?

I really don’t know, she’s never had much luck before. The more they write for her, the more fascinated I am to meet her. They’ve written this woman who is intensely brilliant, kind, and in her own way somewhat charismatic, and at the same time she has this wonderful violent streak. I think she’d be a great wife…

You and Terry [O’Quinn] could use more screen time together—maybe she and Locke can get together.

I always thought Locke was much deserving of an onscreen life. Terry and I have talked about it. Juliet could possibly get together with [Daniel] Faraday, because he’s awfully cute, although he and Charlotte are very much together right now. And I happen to really like Miles a lot too—there’s years to go on the show, so you never know. She might have a little fun.

Any plans for you and your fellow Lost-aways to work on future projects together?

I would love to do something on stage with Michael [Emerson], anytime, anywhere.

You’re both so experienced in theater—after Lost is off the air you could take the show to Broadway.

Michael and I could have a singing duel! As long as there are a few duets in there and the lights go out on a wonderful swan song.

You two have unfinished business on the show—is he going to bust into the love quadrangle?

Wouldn’t that be wonderful? I said to him, “You know the best thing would be if Juliet forgets all these guys and just ends up with Ben.” That would be the creepiest, but best thing. He’s like, [imitates Ben] “Yes, well, they’ll never do it.” Stranger things have happened.

OK!! Call me crazy but every time I read a Interview of her, I hear her voice and picture her hand movement and gestures!!! I think I might need therapy soon!!!

Elizabeth Mitchell
Don't worry--she hasn't died. I was just watching Frequency, a 2000 film starring Jim Caviezel and Dennis Quaid, and I was wondering if I had seen the mom ("Jules") anywhere other than on Frequency. She looked somewhat familiar, but certainly I would remember that hot brunette if I saw her on something else, wouldn't I? It turns out that Jules is Juliet on Lost.

No wonder I didn't recognize the mom as Juliet. Their hair color is different! But another factor is this: I like the mom on Frequency, whereas I don't care too much for Juliet on Lost. The mom on Frequency was like a mom--caring, supportive to her husband and her kids, etc. She had a sassy Queens accent, which evokes for me "Catholic," "down-to-earth working class woman," and "baseball fan."

But Juliet on Lost is nothing like that! She always seems to have this smug look on her face. The Others in general are rather smug: they don't hesitate to use others when it suites their ends. And nothing appears to phase them: you can threaten their lives, and they have the same nonchalant, smug look on their face.

I often assume that liking a character is the same as liking the actor who plays him or her, and vice versa. But what happens when an actress plays two different roles: one of a person I like, and another of someone I dislike?

Hi Sofia -

I'm the writer and director of "Every Little Thing," the film in which Elizabeth is playing the lead. My producer, Mike Blum, told me you were interested in getting some more information. So, to answer your questions.

How did you decide to cast Ms. Mitchell?

I loved Elizabeth's performance in GIA years ago, and then really enjoyed her guest run on ER. More recently, I have of course enjoyed her terrific work on LOST, and it's definitely her portrayal of Juliet that inspired me to approach her. I think she brings a tremendous amount of dignity, mystery, and strength to that role. Everything she does in that role is subtle and nuanced and effective, and that's what I was looking for in the actor who would play Joanne, the lead in our film. Joanne is the heart and soul of the movie, but she is not a showy character. She's a woman who expresses herself in small ways, and I knew Elizabeth was the actor who could pull that off. In terms of the actual casting, I am working with a great casting director, and she got the script to Elizabeth. I was lucky that Elizabeth really liked the script and wanted to meet. When we met it quickly became clear that she had tremendous insight into the character and the script overall. She's also a lovely person and I look forward to working with her. We are scheduled to shoot in June when Elizabeth is on hiatus from LOST.

I recently worked on a shoot for their new Earth line with actress Elizabeth Mitchell, aka Dr. Juliet Burke on the ABC television series LOST. It was a quick shoot since she was heading back to Hawaii in the morning to begin the next season of filming. Photographer Michael Oneildid a great job finding the most perfect set ups her back yard and around her house. She was a dream to work with, so so sweet and beautiful (inside and out!). It was a fun day.

PS. Mark your calenders, the new season of Lost premieres on January 21st (sooo excited for it)!!

Okay, here is the testimony of Katie, who was an extra on LOST, I envy her because she sat beside Elizabeth, the thing is that she posted this...

"...I had hair and makeup sitting between the girl who plays Juliet (Elizabeth Marshall) and the asian guy (Daniel Dae Kim). They were really nice and talked to me. Juliet didnt seem like she would be very nice other than the fact that she felt she had to because her costar was. She is one of those people who always makes a pouty face in attempt to always look super attractive, unfortunately it just makes her look like Renee Zellwegger with extra lip collagen"

I totally disagree with her, because people who have met her said she is super nice, plus I dont think she needs to put a pouty face (what ever that means) to look attractive, she is attractive and she doesn't look anything like Renee Z... Five actors from ABC’s hit series “Lost” will perform at a fundraiser for Honolulu Theatre for Youth, a rare group outing for members of the Hawaii-based cast.

Actors Henry Ian Cusick, Michael Emerson, Jorge Garcia, Daniel Dae Kim and Elizabeth Mitchell will perform a scene from “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” which is a fall production of the theatre.

The performance is part of HTY’s annual “Le Masquerade” fundraiser, being held Oct. 25 at the Koolau Grand Ballroom in Kaneohe.

“Lost” actors have previously performed to benefit HTY, a professional theatre company founded in 1955 and one of the state’s largest performing arts organizations.

The event is open to the public and information is available at www.htyweb.org.

I would kill to see her on theater, I bet she is very good at it... I bet I could learn a a lot of her performance...

Hubo un error en el post de que usó Ms Mitchell para los Emmy, ya lo arregle, pero si les da flojera leer post pasados, aqui les dejo el nombre, se llama Pierucci es un diseñador australiano, si se meten a su pagina pueden ver el diseño que uso Elizabeth, que ademas cabe mencionar que es la primera vez que este diseñador, es usado por alguien en una alfrombra roja...

Estoy super contenta!!! Pues donde estoy trabajando llevamos la cuenta de las series de ABC, y hoy me tocó trabajar en un poster de LOST, yo feliz pues fue como si trabajara directamente con Elizabeth... Me encantaría trabajar de su asistente aunque sea un mes... se que aprendería muchas cosas de ella, pero sobre todo seria super padre...

I am very happy!!! I am working at a place as a designer where on of our acounts is ABC series and today I had the opportunity to work on the poster to promote the Season 4 DVD, I was so happy, it was as if I was working directly with Elizabeth... I would love to work as her assistant... I know I would learn a lot and improve my acting skills... It would be a blast and a dream come tru!!!

Ms Mitchell, if you are reading this I will love to be your assistant (I am organized, puntual, love kids and very profesional)

Les cuento que Ryan de Hawaii Blog, persona que aunque no conozco me cae de pelos, reporto que vio a Elizabeth Mitchell filmado una escena en una lancha de remos, ¿Será que la van a recatar pronto?... Espero que si!!! O al menos que no la maten... Lo bueno es que sabemos que la temporada siguiente va a aparecer mucho... YA QUIERO QUE SEA ENERO!!!
